![]() ![]() ![]() In combination with brutal action, shooting straight from Doom and probably some environmental puzzles, Atomic Heart has a chance to turn out to be an intriguing, extraordinary production, which is definitely worth waiting for. Added to this is the weird, surreal artistic style that is most clearly visible in the designs of opponents or robots. Atomic Heart has been compared to hits such as BioShock, Fallout, and Metro in the past and it’s easy to see why with its dystopian, alternate history backdrop and a style of first person gameplay. The game is soaked with references to the Soviet Union and the 1980s. Atomic Heart, the mysterious first-person shooter from developer Mundfish thats vaguely reminiscent of BioShock (in a good way), has cheekily revealed its release window. Why are we waiting?įrom the first trailer, Atomic Heart delights with the atmosphere, thanks to which the terms "Eastern BioShock " were often used. We will have to explain what actually happened there. In addition, you can meet disgusting zombies everywhere – the result of another experiment of an even more mysterious doctor. It is known that strange experiments were conducted there, and the machines endowed with intelligence revolted against the people. At the moment, only an outline of the story has been revealed, in which we play the role of a secret agent investigating a mysterious facility. We will not really know the details of the plot until the premiere. So it seems like an Indie game, but one that shows a larger budget and the momentum of production. Perhaps 2021 will be the year that fans will get to delve into the bizarre and horrific world of Atomic Heart. In Atomic Heart, a new first-person shooter from Mundfish, the clock is rewound back to the 1950s and players are shuttled into an alternate universe where the Soviet Union ended up with advanced technology after World War II. The robotic enemies join all other manners of biological horrors as well, from zombified human remains that have been taken over by some sort of plant life, to horrible creatures like the mini-boss dubbed Plyush. Another is a human-like automaton built for touring the facility, now shifting about at horrifying speed, it's dead eyes staring into the void as it approaches. One might feature a giant sawblade affixed to spindly spider legs. The various robots, all purpose-built for specific tasks, are varied and striking. On top of the gorgeous environments, the enemy designs are all varied and incredibly mechanically intricate. ![]()
